What happened to the class act. The NFL may soon find out what a bunch of melodramatic idiots can do to a sport like the NBA has. Between Ocho – please shut the hell up and talk to much – TO the NFL does not need another act in its repertoire of class action lawsuits and felons.

Willis McGahee faking injury

When your team is down and out and things don’t go the way you planned, you could always fake paralysis. I guess looking like an idiot when your called out for faking just to ruin a voctors celebration is enough for Baltimore Ravens‘ Willis McGahee.

“And oh, yeah, that stretcher was a nice touch. It’s like he planned how he could make himself the center of attention,” Pittsburgh’s safety Troy Polamalu said as he vowed never to forgive McGahee for trying to take away from the Steelers’ victory.

I suppose that when you sustain an injury like that it is nothing a few asprin can’t remedy as Pittsburgh emergency-room doctors had reported as apposed to the usual perscribed pain killers in the event sever neck pain actually occurs.

Anquan Boldin benchedWhen you team is driving towards the NFC championship it would not appear to be tie to vent frustrations that can arise between coach and player.

Anquan Boldin may have placed himself before his team in lashing out when he did and perhaps this decision may not be understood. A game watched by more then have ever been interested in the Arizona Cardinals before. For a team that could be the most improbable super bowl participant to date and in the midst of attaining the necessary win to do so.

The point has been made official News pointing out Boldin’s selfishness but hindsight is 20-20. Any player fighting for their spot deserves reasonable explanation right?

“I was not given any explanation why I was taken out,” Boldin told ESPN’s NFL Live. “Like any competitor I wanted to know why.”

authenticnbajerseys-onthefield.jpgWhenever I hear the NBA slogan; “I love this Game”, I can’t help but marvel at the sport’s popularity. Almost every place I go, there are basketball courts nearby. Boys of all ages play enthusiastically, trying to imitate their NBA idols. It’s not hard to see that the majority of people love this game, making basketball part of the American culture.

This basketball fever is the very thing that popularizes a lot of basketball players. Almost everyone you ask recognizes the number 23 jersey of the legendary player Michael Jordan. Some like Shaquille O’Neal even extended their fame beyond the court and involve themselves in other field, like starring a movie or a commercial. The sport fever also fueled the rise in the number of sports memorabilia such as game cards and authentic NBA jerseys being sold in different places for the millions of die-hard fans of the National Basketball Association teams and players.

Bill Cowher Hearsay

Bill Cowher turns down jetsI have found hearsay circulating with regards to former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher and his recent decision to decline the head-coaching job for the New York Jets starting next season. It has been made clear that Cowher never advanced past the preliminary stage of negotiations but since when can a ‘person’ close to Cowher pass off as headline worthy information?

Supposedly Cowher turned down the coaching position with the New York Jets because he doesn’t want to coach Brett Favre. Although there certainly could be justifiable reasons for this type of decision I am sure that more information would have come to fruition to that affect.

Why Would a Dolphin Think About 2009 Now?

posted by SportsNews 6:59 PM
Friday, January 2, 2009

Chad PenningtonThe Dolphins are thinking about the post season so why would it be relevant to start pointing out the road ahead for this aspiring team? ESPN.com’s Tim Graham’s recent article, ‘Dolphins’ road gets rocky in 2009‘ brings up a number of catchy points but feels like a last ditch headliner especially this time of the season.

The Miami Dolphins have turned a previously 1 win season into an AFC East championship with 11 wins led by ex Jet Chad Pennington. We all know the common downfalls of any team that affect any franchise that endures the ramifications of injuries, free agency, drafts and coaching changes.

It should be agreed that the scheduling plays a significant role. At the end of the day any team, with their set schedule, still has to show face and win. Perhaps teams in AFC and NFC South divisions Graham mentions in his article warrent more inner division rivalries.
