Another Interleague Plus
Laynce and Jayson Nix reunion through MLB scheduling’s good ole interleague play may not event make a scratch in the heated debate but it is just one more reason that some freshness to the season should be considered.

“We eat, sleep and go to the ballpark. There’s not a lot of extra time for things. We may get together a couple of times before he leaves.”
Also marking the occasion of their reunion it was the first time the brothers had homered on the same night as major leaguers. Jayson Nix whom was 0 for 7 earleir in the week on Chicago’s road trip came through with his first multi-home run game against the Angels just this Wednesday.
“It will definitely be different than just a normal game,” Jayson said. “It’s great to be here at the same time and see each other. It should be fun.”
One could continue to argue that this type of game is simply a ploy for lesser fans of the sport but it would be hard to argue that occasional fans rotating throughout every MLB stadium across the country would not have any affect on the overall revenue and how any given team is able to survive. Whom would the New York Yankees play should the fan base of so many teams with less loyal fans cause league wide financial hardships? They could always play themselves and prance around.
“I don’t really get excited about too much,” Laynce said. “But getting to play against him and see him in uniform, it will be good to spend some time with him.”
