It is nice to know that just when the NFL knows that fans are experiencing a potential crisis on many levels there are here to slightly lower the price of admission to this years playoff games. I would hate for this show of good fortune to hurt their pockets too much yeah?

The lowering of playoff tickets was officially confirmed on Wednesday, “We want to be responsive to the economic challenges facing our fans,” an NFL spokesperson stated. This is great news for many but at this point no official proce can be determined due to the usual market to market ticket price and such.

Furthermore the NFL also authorized the lowering of wildcard games which had traditionally been the same price as divisional and conference championship games. With the playoffs kicking off the new year on Jan 3rd and 4th marking the first price cut ever for a Super Bowl game. Realistically though, when the procing structure was broken down the $200 – $500 off a thousand dollar Super Bowl ticket may only lower the price of a ticket to just $800 which is not much of a savings compared to the 7-9 hundred dollar tickets from last year. This just seems to be sales marketing at its finest so enjoy.
